Curtis G. Burns


Curtis G. Burns, 69, of Springfield passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008 in Springfield.

He was born May 24, 1939 in Sam Black, West Virginia to the late Lawrence and Onita Burns. Curtis a member of the Crosswalk Worship Center, Truckers Christian Chapel and has spent of 20 years traveling to nursing homes ministering and singing to the residents. He is remembered for always being willing to help anyone.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Gaynell "Gay" Burns, whom he married November 1, 1959, three children; Patricia (Ralph) Swigart of Xenia, Christopher (Kathy) Burns of Fairborn, Kimberly (Paul) Frazier of Arcanum, a sister, Ruth Pollen, a brother, Orval Burns, nine grandchildren and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Burns.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 14, 2008 in the Crosswalk Worship Church with Pastor Mark Decker officiating. Burial will follow the service in Enon Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 6-8pm Monday in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon.
