Elaine Amburgey


Elaine Amburgey, 57, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Community Hospital.

She was born on February 14, 1950 in Cannel City, Kentucky. She is the daughter of Ray and Lucinda (Elam) Keeton.

Elaine worked at Yost Superior Company for twenty-five years. For the last ten years, she was co-owner of the Hustead Handicrafts and Creations with her husband, Jim and their family.

She is survived by her husband, James Allen Amburgey of thirty-nine years; one son and daughter-in-law, Blain Allen and Carole Amburgey of Valley City, Ohio; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Judy and Jeff Blackburn of Kentucky, Frankie and Sam Blackburn of Michigan, Shelia Keeton of Springfield, Wanda Keeton of Springfield and Kathy and Mike Warner of Springfield; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Johnny Keeton and Eugene and Joan Keeton, all of Springfield; two granddaughters, Victoria and Madison; and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, May 25, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

The service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Major Jim Gingrich of the Salvation Army officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
